The soundtrack to the movie The Crow was released in 1994. The album featured covers, including Nine Inch Nails who covered Joy Division's "Dead Souls", Pantera who covered Poison Idea's "The Badge", and Rollins Band who covered Suicide's "Ghost Rider", which is about a Marvel Comics character. Rage Against the Machine re-recorded their 1991 B-side "Darkness of Greed" and renamed it "Darkness" for this soundtrack. The Cure also wrote the song "Burn" for the movie.

The Crow: City Of Angels - Original Miramax Motion Picture Soundtrack. This is the second CD I ever owned. There are many great tracks on this album, including some by Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Thrill Kill Cult, Stone Temple Pilots and Helmet. To be honest, the rest of the tracks are kind of bland, but I believe it was the best type of music the soundtrack producer could come up with at the time. This is the album which got me into The Cure. Later on I became a fan of STP as well due to this soundtrack.
Like its film counterpart, the soundtrack to The Crow: City of Angels suffers from the law of diminishing returns.
