The Doors were a short-lived band, but they left an indelible footprint on the history of rock n' roll. Frontman Jim Morrison's live antics - which have become the stuff of legend - can be witnessed on this, a video tracking their 1968 European tour. Filmed in London, Frankfurt, Stockholm, and Amsterdam, this rare live footage is narrated by two members of their opening band, Jefferson Airplane. Fantastic live music accompanied by first-hand anecdotes make this live video an intriguing glimpse into the world of this fascinating classic rock band.
The Count Basie Orchestra of 1968 is effectively captured on this video, which combines a 48-minute performance in a large auditorium in Berlin, Germany, on November 9, 1968, with 20 minutes of a show three days later in Stockholm, Sweden. In both cases, the footage is black-and-white videotape, with the German portion far clearer and better shot (by multiple TV cameras and apparently for the national network)
