Rock Hard is the seventh solo studio album by the American rock singer-songwriter and bass guitarist Suzi Quatro. It was originally released in October 1980, and was her first and only release by the record label, Dreamland. The album was recorded over a period of one month in 1980, at United Western Studios, in Hollywood. It features three prolific guest backing vocalists, including Paul Delph, Michael Des Barres, and Andrea Robinson. It is notably her last album to chart anywhere for twenty-six years, until she released Back to the Drive, in 2006

Michael Des Barres was also the touring singer for the Duran Duran spin-off group, The Power Station, performing at Live Aid with one of the most iconic live acts of the mid-1980s. From 1982 to 1984, Michael was a member of Chequered Past, which included Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols, and Clem Burke and Nigel Harrison of Blondie. In 1983, Michael penned the song Obsession, a number one hit in 27 countries for LA new wave group Animotion

Michael Philip Des Barres (born 24 January 1948), the 26th Marquis Des Barres, is an English actor and rock singer Michael Des Barres. Michael Des Barres at the Chiller Theatre Expo in 2017. In 2011, he formed The Michael Des Barres Band, which included Jebin Bruni, David Goodstein, Paul Ill, and Eric Schermerhorn; the band released an album entitled Carnaby Street in June 2012. On 5 November 2013 The Michael Des Barres Band released a live album, Hot n Sticky Live, which was recorded at the Viper Room in Los Angeles in November 2012 On 7 April 2015 Des Barres released a solo album, The Key to the Universe.

In this personal essay, Des Barres reflects on how being known, for better or worse, as queen of the groupies helped her learn how to embrace her own life story and teach others to do the same. It helped to live smack-dab in the moment and not think too hard, but I said in my second memoir, Take Another Little Piece of My Heart: Did I live it up just to have to live it down?
