Everyone Is Here is the second album by The Finn Brothers, a music project of New Zealand brothers Tim and Neil Finn. The album was recorded twice, once in upstate New York with famed Bowie producer Tony Visconti, then again six months later in Los Angeles with Crowded House stalwart Mitchell Froom. Won't Give In" was featured on the soundtrack to the film Because of Winn-Dixie.
The brothers reunited for Crowded House's 1991 Woodface, which still stands as their collaborative high watermark; their first album as The Finn Brothers, 1995's Finn, was an exotic, eclectic affair. While not on par with that mid-90s LP, Everyone Is Here combines the skillfully crafted pop effervescence of Woodface and the moodiness of Finn. Opener and first single "Won't Give In" is a catchy bit of lite-rock, introducing the gorgeous brotherly harmonies that recur throughout the record. But it also includes lines like "We all have to die alone"

Nearly ten years after their first album as a duo, the Finn Brothers returned with Everyone Is Here in the late summer of 2004.
Predictably, this album is amazing. As they get older, it seems that Neil & Tim Finn can do no wrong. Their first full-length collaboration in nearly a decade, Everyone Is Here offers one amazing song after the next. Always compared to The Beatles, at this point, their catalog of great songs can comfortably stand aside the Fab Four's. The collection of songs on Everyone Is Here packs quite an emotional punch, as they discuss mortality, family relationships, and perseverance.

On the sleeve of ‘Everyone Is Here’, Tim and Neil Finn, frowning and pale, cannot bring themselves to look at each other. Here, stultifying moroseness and a constant furrowing of the brow permeate from start to finish, with titles like ‘Disembodied Voices’ and ‘Edible Flowers’ betraying middle-aged men striving for some kind of higher seriousness before they retire. The only levity comes on ‘Luckiest Man Alive’ and ‘All God’s Children’, and then that’s only because they’re the ones that sound most like Crowded House.
The Finn Brothers are a New Zealand musical duo consisting of brothers Neil and Tim Finn. In June 1993 both members were awarded the OBE for their contribution to music that they never accepted or collected. Background information.
