An amazing lost gem of an album. It sounds like the album you where always looking for and was waiting around for. Bob Lind's voice and lyrics cuts right into the elusive and romantic part of your mind that you have leared to avoid. A master piece. A fully accomplished piece of work in the hands of Bruce Botnick's perfect sense for texture in the produktion and engineering. Highly recommended.

Boy, this dude really was a one-trick pony. This album (the only one of Lind's worth owning, for the hit "Elusive Butterfly") is full of the kind of trippy 60's poetic imagery and babe-I-gotta-move macho poetry that was in vogue at the time, all set to heavily stringed LA folk-pop with banjo pickin' throughout. The good part is that the orchestrations are done by Jack Nitzsche, so that's a plus. But if you've heard "Elusive Butterfly", you've heard the whole album. It's OK for what it is, but it wears thin fast. If you're in the mood for good poetry set to music, go put some Dylan on; save this one for when you're feeling nostalgic for your high-school girlfriend and your '62 Impala.
