Texas-born Johnny Nash had 12 songs hit Billboard's Hot 100 chart during his career. Of those 12, 6 hit the Top 40, which includes his only song ("I Can See Clearly Now" in 1972). Nash even had 11 songs hit the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. Released in 1974, "Loving You" only got as high as but did hit on the Billboard Soul/R&B chart. This was Nash's final Hot 100 entry, a mid-tempo Reggae tinged tune that deserved a better chart fate.

John Lester "Johnny" Nash, Jr. (born August 19, 1940) is an American pop singer-songwriter, best known in the US for his 1972 comeback hit, "I Can See Clearly Now". He was also the first non-Jamaican to record reggae music in Kingston, Jamaica. 9. Birds of a Feather. 18. My Merry Go Round.
