Low is the 11th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on RCA Records on 14 January 1977. Recorded following Bowie's move to West Berlin after a period of drug addiction and personal instability, Low became the first of three collaborations with musician Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti, later termed the "Berlin Trilogy"
Compared to its predecessors, David Bowie's 11th studio album is noticeably reserved. I had no statement to make on Low," said Bowie, who could hardly write lyrics at all in the aftermath of his . excesses, let alone fashion another extensive character study like Ziggy or the Thin White Duke. His lyrical gifts were already spread thin, and thinner still when a completed third verse was cut from "Always Crashing in the Same Car," in which Bowie did his very best Bob Dylan impression.
Released January 14, 1977. 1. Speed of Life Lyrics. Moving to West Berlin to kick cocaine, Bowie hooked up with producer Brian Eno. Low was the first of the trilogy of albums they made, full of electronic instrumentals and quirky funk like Sound and Vision. During this time, Bowie also produced Iggy Pop’s Lust For Life and Idiot, the high point of Iggy’s solo career.
Following through with the avant-garde inclinations of Station to Station, yet explicitly breaking with David Bowie's past, Low is a dense, challenging album that confirmed his place at rock's cutting edge.
Loving The Alien (1983 - 1988). Beat Of Your Drum (2018). 2018 сингл Live at Hammersmith Odeon, 3rd July, 1973. Welcome To The Blackout. 2018 Live London '78. Stage (2017). A New Career In A New Town (1977 - 1982).
Listen free to David Bowie – Low (Speed of Life, Breaking Glass and more). Low is the eleventh studio album by British musician David Bowie, co-produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti. Widely regarded as one of Bowie's most influential releases, Low was the first of the "Berlin Trilogy", a series of collaborations with Brian Eno (though the album was mainly recorded in France and only mixed in West Berlin). The experimental, avant-garde style would be further explored on "Heroes" and Lodger. Однако ты также можешь выбрать другой язык. A new version of Last. Low. Overview (current section).
