Broken Crown Halo is the seventh studio album by Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. It was released through Century Media Records on March 31, 2014 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and on April 1 in North America. This is the last album to feature drummer Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati and guitarists Marco "Maus" Biazzi and Cristiano "Pizza" Migliore, who retired from the band on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2014, marking the end of the band's longest-standing line-up.

Lacuna Coil have unleashed their seventh studio album ‘Broken Crown Halo’ via Century Media Records, and this is a key album for the band. It's their last disc to feature retiring drummer Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati and guitarist Cristiano "Pizza" Migliore. The first track on the record, ‘Nothing Stands in Our Way,’ also happens to be the lead single. It’s an anthem that ironically sets the tone for any doubts that fans were having after the group lost two members.

Broken Crown Halo is the seventh album by Italian gothic metallers Lacuna Coil. The bands first four albums are really enjoyable gothic metal, with a few nu-metal tendencies on Karmacode. on their fifth album Shallow Life their sound became overly commercial, and as a result the album was horrible, so bad it was cringeworthy, yet it still yielded one of their best songs in Spellbound  . Lacuna Coil has opted for this mode of risk-taking on their latest outing and delivered yet another needed repudiation of the horrid alternative rock interlude or 2009 that was Shallow Life in Broken Crown Halo.
