Phenomenon is the seventh studio album by rapper LL Cool J. After the success of his previous release Mr. Smith, the same basic principles are followed here, with several R&B-influenced tracks, and a couple of more hardcore rap tracks. The album was certified Platinum, unlike Mr. Smith, which was certified 2x Platinum. The album is executively produced by Sean "Puffy" Combs and therefore features production from his in-house roster of producers The Hitmen. Marketing: David A. Belgrave.
Ah ah Baby girl was draped in Chanel Said she love 2Pac but hates some LL Seen her at the bar with anklets and toe rings She can take a prince, turn him into a king I was looking at her in the limelight, pearly whites Said her man get paper but he don't live right All these emotions.
Mr. Smith was the third comeback for LL Cool J, the third time he returned to commercial and creative strengths after being written off by many critics and fans. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that its follow-up, Phenomenon, finds LL coasting - after all, after his two previous comeback albums, he allowed himself to slacken the pace a little bit and ride on his credentials.
