Love and Rockets' first four releases were the stuff that made the band what it was. I discovered later that "Sweet . was an album that almost didn't happen. In fact, it was supposed to follow the "Love and Rockets" album, but for various reasons was delayed time and time again. Okay, so this explains its similarity to its predecessors. If you enjoyed the aforementioned predecessors (and you should if you're a true fan), you simply must give this one a spin.

In an attempt to sell themselves to the '90s alternative audience, Love and Rockets refashioned their sound with Sweet . Throughout the album, the band is less concerned with creating atmospheric soundscapes or terse, edgy pop songs; instead, they try to rock hard.
