Without a doubt, Sheila Southern's UK Jimmy Webb album is the worst straight commercial release showcasing Jimmy Webb's songs ever made. I was bird-dogged to look for this by Webbie most senior expert "Laspitch." Take out everything you love about Julie Andrews talent, leaving only a hint of her accent, and this is what you have left, with extra sugary syrup (violins and orchestra backing). A completely clueless vapid disposable easy listening pop vocalist treatment worse than anything in the 'States by mainstream middle-of-the-road vocalists with any talent. So bad it's very highly praised for all the wrong reasons by Webbies everywhere, and highly prized by them as the worst serious recording made of his songs. If you've ever been trapped at a shopping mall karaoke concert by some teenage girl howling Disney songs, you'll some idea how incredibly awful this album is.

You sir, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Sheila Southern is a fine vocalist although completely forgotten. This album is an example of greatness. A masterpiece of orchestral pop with that destinct Britisch orch pop sound. "With extra sugary syrup (violins and orchestra backing)", are you insane? That's what orchestral pop / Jimmy Webb is all about. You've obviously never heard the Richard Harris albums, don't, you will hate those too.
