In my opinion there isn't a bad track on here and they are all now much sought after on original 45's with some commanding four figure price tags.

Bill Buckley from Blues & Soul magazine compiled this nifty double-disc set for a wonderful price and wrote excellent liner notes. It does a fine job of documenting cuts played at the Wigan Casino, the Twisted Wheel, and the Blackpool Mecca. Some cuts are eternal; and have been heard on many comps before, but there isn't a weak moment in this 40-cut collection.

None of the tracks on this CD are actually taken from the 'original tapes', all are from 45's as a careful listen will reveal many clicks and much worn vinyl. Non the less this is still an excellent compilation of Northern Soul music with every track coming from the period of 1965-1968. In my opinion there isn't a bad track on here and they are all now much sought after on original 45's with some commanding four figure price tags.
