Description

Hey Guys!!! This one is Death Of A Ladies' Man, by the amazing Leonard Cohen, off his 1977 album of the same name.

From the Death of a Ladies' Man album produced by Phil Spector in 1977. A lot of fans don't like it, but I think it's a good drinking album

All lyrics from Death Of A Ladies' Man album, popular Leonard Cohen songs with tracklist and information about album.

Album · 1977 · 8 Songs. Death of a Ladies' Man Leonard Cohen.

Death of a Ladies' Man is the fifth studio album by Leonard Cohen. Produced and co-written by Phil Spector, the voice of typically minimalist Cohen was surrounded by Spector's Wall of Sound, which included multiple tracks of instrument overdubs. The album was originally released by Warner Bros. but was later picked up by Cohen's long-time label, Columbia Records.

Death of a Ladies’ Man. Leonard Cohen. Produced by Phil Spector. Album Death of a Ladies’ Man. Death of a Ladies’ Man Lyrics. Ah the man she wanted all her life was hanging by a thread "I never even knew how much I wanted you," she said His muscles they were numbered and his style was obsolete "O baby, I have come too late. She knelt beside his feet. I'll never see a face like yours in years of men to come I'll never see such arms again in wrestling or in love

One of the most controversial partnerships in either man's career was inaugurated the day Leonard Cohen and Phil Spector decided to make an album together. In the course of just three weeks together, the pair had written 15 new songs, described by Spector as "some great f ckin' music. And though the recording took somewhat longer, Death of a Ladies' Man still emerged as an album that, while it certainly lives up to Spector's billing, can also be viewed as the most challenging record of both Cohen and Spector's careers.

It goes without saying that Death of a Ladies’ Man is a strange album. Inherently the pairing of the soft-singing, minimalistic poet, with the indulgent and notably overbearing producer would make for a bizarre outing. With Cohen’s usual folk style being replaced entirely by Spector’s flamboyant orchestral production, ranging from doo-wop to rockabilly. As can be expected from such a drastic creative turn; the reception for this album on its release was not warm.
