NahemaH was a heavy metal band from Alicante, Spain that was formed in 1997. Since then, they have released three full-length albums Contents. Between 2003 and 2005, the band was putting together their third studio album, The Second Philosophy. That album would see a release in 2007 via Lifeforce Records, a label which they were signed to in August 2006. In 2009, Nahemah released their fourth studio album A New Constellation, also, via the label Lifeforce Records. In early 2012 Nahemah announced they were working on material for a new, as-yet-untitled album.

Nahemah's third release overall, 2007's The Second Philosophy isn't quite that (at last check, heavy metal wasn't the chief musical listening preference of bishops worldwide), but it does contain some unmistakable symphonic elements. Vocalist Pablo Egido's growling technique is impeccable throughout and the rest of the lads bash out their epic-sounding metal with glee, with the sounds of strings added at just the precise moments for maximum dramatic effect.

The other unusual aspect of Nahemah's sound lies in their drummer's playing. He very rarely uses the typical ck" beats that are fairly common place in most death metal bands, double kick is also rather sparse, and there are absolutely no blast beats. Rather, he relies much more of intricate grooves, tasty snare and cymbal accents, and tight quick fills to drive the band. Melody plays a really key role in Nahemah's sound throughout the album. In addition to the bevy of instruments and prominent keyboard parts mentioned, clean vocals make noticeable appearances in every track, in fact some songs like Subterranean Airports, Today's Sunshine Ain't the Same, and the entrancing closing ballad The Speech are almost entirely sung.
