Secret Weapon is eighth studio album by punk rock band MxPx. The album's sound goes back to their beginning sound. A double 12-inch vinyl version with special artwork " DVD, new artwork, and three extra tracks. On November 7, 2006, it was announced the group had re-signed with Tooth & Nail Records.

Secret Weapon was a New York-based short-lived post-disco music group, formed by Jerome Prister. The group had a number of hits throughout the 1980s with their most successful single being "Must Be the Music" which hit on the R&B chart and on the dance chart in 1982. Band founder Jerome Prister went on to form the short-lived off-shoot group Output and later released several solo singles, along with a 1989 studio album, under the name Jerome "Secret Weapon" Prister. He died of a stroke in 2007.

New Secret Weapon’ is bursting with an odd inventiveness that is incredibly difficult to classify. At times it’s a little too unselfconsciously poppy to be properly alternative, and at others it dives into way too much psychedelic weirdness to ever appeal to a mainstream audience. It is the sound of a late night genre-fusion jam that shouldn’t make any kind of musical sense, but is somehow brilliant nonetheless. New Secret Weapon will launch their album in The Button Factory on 25 April.
