You Forgot It in People is the second studio album by Canadian indie rock band Broken Social Scene, released on October 15, 2002. It followed Feel Good Lost, and was the band's commercial breakthrough. Local hype for the album was so big that initial pressings sold out quickly, causing the need for a 2003 reissue.

More than anything else, You Forgot It In People is a diverse record. Unlike Feel Good Lost, this is a guitar fueled album, albeit one with strings, brass and electronic experiments all over the place.
With a definite shift in tone from their previous album Feel Good Lost, You Forgot It In People is Broken Social Scene’s second album, released October 15,2002.

I remember first hearing Looks Just Like the Sun on some long forgotten "internet radio" station. I try to eschew nostalgia, but this album for me is like Joshua Tree was for the previous generation. 5 months ago. Hunny is that the fire alarm? No it's just broken social scene. this album had no impact on my life but I like it a lot. funny defn of 'no'.
Many of the songs that didn't make it onto the album were featured in a B-sides compilation titled Bee Hives released in 2004.
Drew, Canning, Peroff, and Spearin were at the core of the band that cut Broken Social Scene's second album, 2002's You Forgot It in People, though the lineup had expanded to 11 musicians, including Cranley, Crossingham, Feist, Haines, Priddle, Shaw, and Whiteman. In 2010, Broken Social Scene returned with an especially ambitious project.
