The Thrills' second album Let's Bottle Bohemia was released in September 2004. It was recorded in . where their first album had also been recorded) – this time with Dave Sardy as producer, featuring orchestration by Van Dyke Parks and a guest mandolin performance by . In an August 2010 interview with the Irish Times, Ben Carrigan confirmed that the Thrills remain on indefinite hiatus. At the time, Carrigan was working on his debut solo record entitled The Greatest Narrators, which was released on 23 September 2011. The first single from this album ("You Knew It All Along") was released on 19 August. While promoting his album in September 2011, Carrigan said of the Thrills: "We’re just on a hiatus.
Let's Bottle Bohemia is the all important second album from Irish indie popsters The Thrills. It will determine if the hugely successful debut release So Much For The City was a one-off or whether the band have got more than one album in them. It gets off to a very promising start with "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" - a strong piano melody and drums with a strident vocal over a Hammond organ backing. Personally I think the strings are a little overdone but Van Dyke Parks (string arranger for Brian Wilson's Smile amongst others) probably knows better. Peter Buck provides some extra guitar backing on the next song "Faded Beauty Queens". M guitarist dropped into a Thrills gig in Seattle and subsequently agreed to play on the track. The Dubliners' influences still sound more Stateside than Celtic.

Let's Bottle Bohemia is the second album by the Irish indie/rock band, The Thrills. It was produced and mixed by Dave Sardy In an interview in 2004, lead singer Conor Deasy described the band's upcoming second album: I think great. Let's Bottle Bohemia (2004).
This album should really have been called Let's Battle Insomnia, in honour of its sedative properties. It's a fitting soft-rock sequel to the Irish quintet's perversely popular debut, So Much for the City. Recorded in the band's adoptive Los Angeles, this one does offer sparkier lyrics ("I came to this city to build a mountain of envy, to marry a Kennedy") and a greater punch to Conor Deasy's wistful gasps, but only relative to the first album's listlessness.
Let's Bottle Bohemia. Let's Bottle Bohemia. Studio album by The Thrills. doesn't really sound like a record people are making quite now. It's tougher, but it's also quite beautiful as well. It's a nice kind of mixture.
