It was produced by Peter Asher, Richie Bito, Bob Rock, Guy Roche, Diane Warren, Steve Lukather and John Kalodner. Following the same formula of its predecessors, "Cher" (1987) and "Heart Of Stone" (1989), "Love Hurts" has some pop rock, soft rock and adult contemporary influences.
