Kurze Interviews mit fiesen Männern. David Foster Wallace.

David Foster Wallace (February 21, 1962 – September 12, 2008) was an American writer and university professor in the disciplines of English and creative writing. His last novel, The Pale King (2011), was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2012.

Filmproduktion Siegersbusch, Wuppertal, 2013. KURZE INTERVIEWS MIT FIESEN MÄNNERN von David Foster Wallace Regie: Gies, Schauspielhaus Bochum (Trailer). from Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Written by David Foster Wallace, Audiobook narrated by Milaan Peschel, Jörg Harmann, Max Hopp.

David Foster Wallace: This question, as you know, is very complicated. I can give answers that are somewhat simple and I can really talk only about America, because it’s really the only society that I know.

In this thought-provoking and playful short story collection, David Foster Wallace nudges at the boundaries of fiction with inimitable wit and seductive intelligence. Among the stories are 'The Depressed Person.

David Foster Wallace struggled with depression and self-doubt his entire life. He was on an anti-depressant called Nardil that he discontinued in 2007 over side effects and a concern that it was muting his ability to write. His incredible consciousness of the world (including his own self-consciousness) is part of what made him such a good writer. Unfortunately, it also cost him his life. Here's an excerpt from an excellent New Yorker piece published a few months after his death: In the late eighties, doctors had prescribed Nardil for Wallace’s depression.
