David Rose (June 15, 1910 – August 23, 1990) was an American songwriter, composer, arranger, pianist, and orchestra leader. His most famous compositions were "The Stripper", "Holiday for Strings", and "Calypso Melody".

David Rose biography David ROSE was an american violinist from Susquehanna. ROSE had recorded albums between 1977 and 1983 which make up his solo career, often backed by some of his colleagues from the French TRANSIT EXPRESS (with whom he also founded a pop jazz band BLUE ROSE in the 80's, namely Serge PERATHONER and Christian Basile LEROUX). Besides fusion music, ROSE was also a member of an American prog folk band named FRED in the late 60's and early 70's  .
