Day Tripper" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double A-side single with "We Can Work It Out" in December 1965. Both songs were recorded during the sessions for the band's Rubber Soul album. The single topped charts in Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Norway.

Single by The Beatles. Both songs were recorded during the sessions for the Rubber Soul album. The single topped the UK Singles Chart and the song peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1966. Day Tripper (The Beatles 1962-1966). Day Tripper (Past Masters).

Day tripper Day tripper, yeah Day tripper Day tripper, yeah Day tripper. A non-album single written by Lennon and McCartney in October 1965, Day Tripper is a bluesy sibling of sorts to Drive My Car, which was recorded a few days before. Fresh from a US tour (including Shea Stadium) and with Help! topping the charts, Lennon and McCartney had gone straight into writing new singles and working on Rubber Soul (which would be released in December). Day Tripper was slated to be the Beatles' next single, but when they recorded We Can Work It Out Lennon wanted that to be the new release. Eventually, they compromised and released them both as the first double A-side on the same day as Rubber Soul. The Beatles Bible’s writeup is here. is it about drugs ? Indeed it is. In the 1997 book Many Years From Now, Paul McCartney says, ‘Day Tripper’ was to do with tripping. Acid was coming in on the scene, and often we’d do these songs about ‘the girl who thought she was it’.

The Beatles had some fun with the line, "She's a big teaser," which they jokingly worked up as "she's a prick teaser. When I think of Day Tripper it kind of reminds me one-night stands. Bowabode from London, EnglandFans may want to check out the cover version by Daniel Ash (ex Love & Rockets) on his 1990 album Coming Down - he clearly uses the real lyric "she's a pr ck teaser", which is a nice change from the other cover versions. Wes from Orlando, FlDash is right! I had this song on a cassette back in '81 (since lost) and I've been trying to find it for years

Day Tripper (оригинал The Beatles). Приход на день (перевод Илья Тимофеев). Есть веская причина, For taking the easy way out. Чтобы пойти лёгким путём. She was a day tripper. Она стала приходом на день, One way ticket, yeah. Билетом в один конец. It took me so long to find out. Пришлось очень долго выяснять, And I found out.
