The Gloaming is the debut studio album by Irish band The Gloaming. It was released on 20 January 2014 on Real World Records, except in North America, where it was released on Brassland Records. The album features a mixture of traditional Irish folk music and original compositions

This weekend, and part of the next week, The Gloaming will take up a sold out five-night residency in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Arriving just in time for those performances, is album number two from an international band with an Irish heart, a trad band with a contemporary worldview. Together, fiddlers Martin Hayes and Caoimhin Ó Raghallaigh, pianist Thomas Bartlett (Doveman), sean-nós singer Iarla Ó Lionáird and Chicago-born guitarist Dennis Cahill weave music that crosses genre boundaries between Irish trad, contemporary classical and ambient music.
