Evencio Castellanos Yumar (1915 – 1984), was a Venezuelan pianist and classical musician.

Evencio Castellanos Yumar (May 3, 1915 – March 16, 1984), was a Venezuelan pianist and classical musician. From 1938 to 1944 Castellanos studied at the Superior School of Music of Caracas. In 1947 he went to New York City on a two-year scholarship studying piano with Carlos Buhler. He held various teaching positions in Caracas and founded the Collegium Musicum de Caracas, a Venezuelan musical group. Alba Quintanilla was among his pupils.

Evencio Castellanos is one of Venezuela's best-known composers, notable not least as one of the groundwork-makers for that country's much-lauded "sistema" of music education.
