Cock Mouth Kill Cock. was at first surprised to hear, what i know as, king tubby's 'dub fever' at the onset of the album. however cedric myton has employed considerable skill in enveloping this rhythm with a well crafted vocal. this is true of the entire album, and is utilised to great effect, engendering an authentic roots feeling to the procedings. as high as the standard. is, this is myton's album, roy and wattie only to be heard on 3 or 4 songs. these (especially for nostalgists) are the most instantly recognizable, and to my mind the finest here. there is much to be admired about this album, not least the roots sound and stance, much kudos to cedric for keeping with the faith. credible release from an act whose 1st.
