Not so long ago I finished reading my first actual book: ‘My grandpa’ by Tsutsui Yasutaka (筒井 康隆). I did read it some years ago in translation, so I knew what it is about, even so, it was a nice experience! This novel is short and entertaining, it’s like, half heart-warming story, half yakuza movie scenario. It is Kon’s fourth and final feature film before his death in 2010.
