02. Lace And Whiskey.

Lace and Whiskey is the third solo album by Alice Cooper, released in May 1977. After many years of portraying a dark and sinister persona Alice Cooper decided to try something new and donned the persona of a heavy drinking comic PI named "Maurice Escargot" - a fictional character in the same vein as Inspector Clouseau.

Alice had dominated much of the 70's, so this album was a shock to many fans. Alice was struggling with alcoholism during this period and this 1977 was more mellow than we had grown to expect with Alice and the production on this album isn't that great. Still I love songs like "Road Rats" but this was one of Alice's weaker albums.
