Hell Freezes Over is the second live album by the Eagles, released in 1994. The album is the first to be released after the Eagles had reformed following a fourteen-year-long break up. The band's lineup was that of the Long Run era: Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. It contains four new studio tracks and eleven tracks recorded live in April 1994 for an MTV special

Hell Freezes Over was the Eagles’ April 1994 reunion that resulted in a nine times platinum album that spent two weeks atop the charts and spawned a two-year tour. The album opens with the studio track Get Over It, followed by Love Will Keep Us Alive, with lead vocal from Schmit; that track reached on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 1995. Highlights of the live portion of the album include the acoustic reimagining of Hotel California, the Walsh showcase Pretty Maids All In a Row, Henley’s New York Minute, which features the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, Take It Easy and a Desperado finale that puts the spotlight on Henley’s lead vocals and piano.
