White Pepper is Ween's seventh full-length album, and the last album they would release on Elektra Records. It was released on May 2, 2000. White Pepper is one of Ween's most polished albums. Songs such as "Even If You Don't" feature powerful, radio-friendly production and musicianship

By any other standard, White Pepper is a weird, wild ride. But, if you're listening to Ween just to chuckle, you're missing the point anyway, since they're not just consummate satirists - check out the wonderful "Pandy Fackler," which mimics Steely Dan's lush jazz-pop, down to Gene's deadly Donald Fagen imitation - they're consummate songwriters and musicians. Ween's music rewards multiple plays and White Pepper is ample proof.

No, sorry ass-holes, Ween still rock my ing balls off. That last sentence is running though my head as I listen to one of the most unjustly hated Ween albums. Stroker Ace is a phenominal song, but in all reality, should probably not have been placed on White Pepper. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and brings a jagged break in the overall calming feeling. It could have been placed intentionally by Ween, as it is in roughly the middle of the album, but I highly doubt it. With the exception of a few, the songs sound like they could be taken directly from the popular music of the 60's and 70's. Hell, Even If You Don't sounds exactly like an Eagles song to me.

Comic Sans? That's more Ween than Ween. I love it!

This is an unofficial/bootleg correct? I'm just trying to avoid the Plain recordings at all cost.

Anyone know more about this release? I would love to get some more insight, I mean I guess it's cheap enough to just take a chance on too.

This is likely from 2013 and a repress of the Mushroom records sourced LP. It sounds pretty stellar, not like the Plain releases
