Coming after this summers The Sounds Of Glades mini-album with Jan (as Wolf Müller), Youth Sessions sees Cass. expand his solo works beyond ambient and kosmische de nes towards a more whole encompassing ouvert. Growing out of his early works, Cass. mixes eld recordings, percussion loops, samples, but now adds vocals to build and layer with a warmth and glow – evoking long overlooked, but sought feelings. Having done such wonderful work alongside Wolf Muller on The Sound Of Glades album, Cass makes a welcome return with an expansive album release on Emotional Response. The German producer's ambient tendencies blossom here, occasionally meeting with laconic drums as on "U" but primarily dealing in huge swathes of melody. DJs will want to hold out for the dramatic pulse of "Ann", where a more pronounced drum set makes for one of the album's most club-ready moments

Today we’re no short of glad to bring you the exclusive full stream of his opus magnum, ‘Youth Sessions‘, released early December on Emotional Response in addition to an interview that evokes the making of the album, his love for pop music and influential ambient releases amongst other things. Your new album ‘Youth Sessions’ follows up to the widely acclaimed ‘The Sound Of Glades‘ alongside Düsseldorf’s favourite Wolf Müller, and they form a rather cohesive suite. Were the two of them recorded around the same time? Actually no. Most of the songs were finished before I started to record the album with Jan. I only worked on details after it.

Sessions was a compilation album by the Beatles planned for release by EMI in 1984 but never issued due to objections by the surviving Beatles. The album consisted of thirteen finished but unreleased Beatles songs. A planned single containing two of the tracks from Sessions – "Leave My Kitten Alone", backed with an alternative version of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" – was also left unissued. The idea was resurrected in 1995 as The Beatles Anthology.
