Piercing Music is a music studio album recording by ROBERT HENKE (Progressive ve Rock) released in 1994 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Piercing Music" is anything but piercing, kind of a joke, considering his later quiet piercing experiments, but anyway this kind of clears thoughts about its content. Even more, it has a distant dream memory like human touch, which is both attractive and unsettling. Not dreamy as in fairy tales, dream like as in dreams.

Robert Henke played a key role in the development of the software. Imbalance Computer Music is the name of his label, under which Henke’s very first album Piercing Music was released in 1994. They represent a musically off-putting imbalance between subtly ecstatic noise orgies to hyperactively thumping techno abstractions. Since 1997, Henke has primarily been documenting his own creations – as Monolake and also under his real name.

Good heavens! This is a wonderful example of very minimal ambient music. It's very close in form and style to the wonderful Monolake ep 'Gobi - the desert'. As you would expect for a Henke record, it's lovingly and expertly produced. Bears comparison also with some of Rod Modell's work on Silentes. If you like your tunes minimal and ambient without being dark or nasty or weird, grab a copy of the excellent CD while you can.
