64–'95 is the third studio album by Lemon Jelly. The concept album contains tracks that take samples from songs recorded between the years 1964 and 1995. The number that precedes the song title denotes from which year the sample is taken. The album is rather different from their previous two releases in that it has a darker sound and is influenced by more modern sounding music.

The third album from Lemon Jelly, '64-'95, has some of the high points that made their collection of EPs a standout, but it's also rather uneven. The rock elements of "'88 . Come Down On Me" seem a bit overblown, but it's quickly remedied by the calm folk-funk of "'68 . Don't Stop Now" reminds me a bit of Josh Wink's early acid work but without the tweaking that made it interesting; instead, the track meanders a bit aimlessly. The housier rhythms and catchy groove of "'75 . Stay With You" make it a definite high-point. The Slow Train" breaks the "good track, bad track" streak with a track that stands up pretty well, and "'90 . A Man Like Me" keeps up the winning streak. Can I, with good conscience, recommend an album where about half the tracks are brilliant and the other half are dire?

Lemon Jelly released three critically acclaimed EPs (1998, 1999, and 2000), securing them a record deal with XL Recordings in 2000. The band subsequently released three full-length albums before going on hiatus in 2008. Their most recent album, 2005's '64–'95, featured a sticker to warn listeners that "This is our new album. It's not like our old album. The title comes from the fact that each track features samples drawn from a single year between 1964 and 1995. It contains a track (Track 10 – "'64 – Go") featuring a vocal performance by William Shatner, with whom they collaborated for a track on his album Has Been.
