Sune Rose Wagner and Jakob Jørgensen played their first concert together as Psyched Up Janis in 1989, in Sønderborg, Denmark. Later, in 1992, they recorded their first demo tape, titled "I Never Change" - which had a sound more funky, than that of the later Psyched Up Janis. During that year, both members of the band moved to Copenhagen, where drummer Martin Bjerregaard joined. Enter the Super Peppermint Lounge.

Perfil: Danish indie band formed in 1989 by Sune Rose Wagner and Jakob Jørgensen (Jakob Krogh Jørgensen) as Western Front in Sønderborg. By that time Mads Glenstrup was the bands drummer. By 1992, now as Psyched Up Janis, Wagner and Jørgensen moved to Copenhagen where drummer Martin Bjerregaard joined the band. Released the EP "I Died In My Teens" from which the title song was picked by Kerrang! as "Single Of The Week". In 1998 the band released "Enter The Super Peppermint Lounge" and then moved to the US. In 1999 they released the acoustic live album "The Quiet Album" and a compilation of unreleased demo tracks "Hi-Fi Low Life". That year the band folded, giving a farewell concert at the Roskilde Festival. Post-Psyched Up Janis Wagner formed another duo band with Sharin Foo, the New Yorked based, highly succesful The Raveonettes. Top Songs Psyched Up Janis.

In 1998 Psyched Up Janis toured Denmark with the album Enter The Super Peppermint Lounge. Sune played drums on the album himself. In 1999, after moving to the United States, they released the acoustic album The Quiet Album and played a "last concert" together at the 1999 Roskilde Festival. Some old demos were released that same year under the name Hi-Fi Low Life. The band reformed, briefly in 2009 and again in 2014 playing live concerts and the Roskilde festival.
