Tim Schou won the contest Danish Young Talent 2005 which led to the recording of A Friend of London's first single, "Thoughts of a Boheme". He won with his band A Friend in London the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2011 and came in 5th in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Tim took part in the reality television show Skjulte stjerner (Hidden star) aired from 2 September to 14 October 2011 on Danish television. The album also featured the Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen on one of the main album tracks, namely "Rest from the Streets". In 2014, after the release of their first album, A Friend in London disbanded. In late 2014, Schou released his first solo single called "Supernova". His second single was released in January 2015 and was called "Goodbye".
