There's a delicious bit of irony to hearing a band called Bad Religion singing with evident fervor, Oh come let us adore him/Christ the Lord as they power through a hopped-up of O Come All Ye Faithful. It's a contradiction that the long-standing Los Angeles-based punk outfit embrace as gleefully as the young lad on the cover of this EP does his new pair of shoes. As if to drive the point home, a portion of the sales of this between-album trifle (and an accompanying 7-inch featuring a cover of the Kinks' Father Christmas ) will be donated to a non-profit that aids survivors.

Bad Religion are putting out a Christmas album this year!. Well? Don’t you get it? It’s ironic, dummy! The band isn’t really putting out a Christmas album. Almost too much work for a joke.

He was also asked if the band has started work on a new album yet, and his answer was: We’re looking forward to not stopping the writing. I think next year is going to be a year of reflection and living life a little bit so we’ll have more stuff to write about.

Bad Religion have gotten into the Christmas spirit by sharing their version of The Kinks' 1977 single "Father Christmas. Get your holiday spirits rocking by listening to the song above via YouTube. punks are no strangers when it comes to turning festive songs into punk rock sing-a-longs, as proven by last year's album Christmas Songs. Pounding drums and thick bass lines flow with strong guitars and vocals.

I'm a massive Bad Religion fan and loved their Christmas album. The production quality was perfect. Not sure what they did with this recording, but it sounds absolutely crap. To make matters worse, Kings Road Merch stung me AGAIN, with a warped copy, so it sounded that much worse. Merry Christmas...
