Piebald is a low-maintenance band and Accidental Gentlemen relays that feeling perfectly. Put together in about 2 weeks, the record does feel very stripped down and in a way does live up to singer/guitarist Travis Shettel's own description of the band, sloppy. But even with a bit of sloppiness and a pop style to its songwriting, it still feels more honest than plenty of the punk bands out there today. Accidental Gentleman is a fun listen, and a lot can be said about the creative guitar solos and piano sections heard on the album. There is also a hidden song on the record that stands out as one of the highlights, so stick around for that if you pick up the album. The raw quality that Piebald has will not appeal to everyone, and at times it does sound a little bit thrown together. But then we have to take into consideration that it was the intention of the band to rock out for 2 weeks on the album and send it on its way.
