The Rhythm Sisters is an English acoustic/pop duo from Leeds which formed in 1987. The same year, they released the album Road to Roundhay Pier. Sisters Mandi and Debi Laek released their first single, "American Boys", which reached number seven on the UK Independent Chart, while touring extensively in the UK and Europe with The Proclaimers

The Pointer Sisters is the self-titled debut by the Pointer Sisters, released in 1973 on the Blue Thumb label. The album yielded the hits "Yes We Can Can" and "Wang Dang Doodle" and became a success based on word of mouth after heralded performances at The Troubadour in Los Angeles and the Helen Reddy Show.
