Liquid Acrobat as Regards the Air is the ninth album by the Incredible String Band. It features Mike Heron, Robin Williamson, Licorice McKechnie and Malcolm Le Maistre. The album was the band's first almost entirely electric recording; a new feature that was to define the change in the band's sound throughout their final period through 1974. The album did well on the charts, and was the most financially successful of the band's output.

The Incredible String Band - Liquid Acrobat As Regards The Air lp ilps 9172. While I chose to skip a few albums, I went straight for Liquid Acrobat, which sits as their tenth album altogether and their second tor their new label Island, and if I chose this particular album, it's the last one I heard, but also the last to have hit the charts.
They recorded their first album, entitled The Incredible String Band, at the Sound Techniques studio in London in May 1966. It was released in Britain and the United States and consisted mostly of self-penned material in solo, duo and trio formats, showcasing their playing on a variety of instruments The trio broke. Liquid Acrobat as Regards the Air. 46. 189.
Incredible String Band is a bit incongruous, but within two short years, the group would effortlessly weave in and out of all the world's music, with the deftest, dreamlike ease. The Dylan inclinations are a bit by the numbers as well, but that's expected with most singer-songwriters of the age; the most interesting aspect of this album is that it documents the nascent stylings of Robin Williamson and Mike Heron as they find their respective voices. The ISB's incantations have more time to take hold in these cases, but it a shame to find "Darling Belle"- the eleven-minute finale of Liquid Acrobat as Regards the Air- is cut of the same cloth as the disastrous double album of musical theatre, 1970's U. Each member has a vague recitation, a part to play
