David Galas - The Cataclysm. Neo-Gothic Ambient Rock/Darkwave. If you do not have the patience for the lengthy mid- to slow pace album full of ambient gloomy music, you might consider listening to The Cataclysm by these Sections, as they do tend to have a common line connecting the songs within them. The opening portion, after Asleep in the Field intro puts you on a bottom of a deep gorge with ravens circling overhead, has the theme of steady rhythmic acoustic strum being the main axis.

Lycia is an American dark wave band formed in 1988 in Tempe, Arizona. The main personnel of the band are Mike VanPortfleet, Tara Vanflower and David Galas. Although only achieving minor cult success, the band is notable for being one of the ground breaking groups in darkwave and ethereal wave styles.
