Wild Flag was an American four-piece indie rock/post-punk supergroup based in Portland, Oregon and Washington, . The group consisted of Carrie Brownstein (vocals, guitar), Mary Timony (vocals, guitar), Rebecca Cole (keyboards, backing vocals) and Janet Weiss (drums, backing vocals), who are ex-members of the groups Sleater-Kinney, Helium and the Minders.

Produced by Lou Giordano & Mission of Burma. This is where I live In the blank spots of a wall Where the window shade is ripped But I still wanna go. They tell me I will never find my place (in Playland) They tell me that the toys will always break (in Playland) They tell me I will never find my way to Playland. It's your Playland In my Playland It's my Playland In your play. I can't stop thinking what it does I can't stop feeling how it feels I can't stop obeying it's commands When it comes from you. (Chorus).

Mission of Burma's LP 'Unsound' is out now on Fire Records. The band played a free show at Prospect Park on August 3, 2012 with Wild Flag and Ted Leo as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn series.

Signals, Calls and Marches Accomplished: The Best of Mission of Burma Signals, Calls and Marches Signals, Calls and Marches. Mission of Burma – That's When I Reach For My Revolver. Tonight the sky is empty But that is nothing new Its dead eyes look upon us They tell me We're nothing But slaves. That's when I reach for my revolver Just slaves That's when I reach for my revolver That's when I reach for my revolver That's when I reach for my revolver That's when I reach for my revolver That's when I reach for my revolver.

The album ‘Vs’, released in 1982, was to be Mission Of Burma’s only full length studio album with the original line up before disbanding. Noise driven and melodic throughout, they kick off proceedings with ‘Secrets’ where Clint Conley’s vocals contrast Roger Miller’s unrestrained outbursts. New Nails’ fiercely attacks religion where Miller’s repetitive cries of ‘don’t make an idol of me’ leave a lasting impression before tackling mental decline on ‘Mica’
