Kosheen's debut album pushed Bristol's bass music legacy boldly into the new millennium. You can hear echoes of Portishead and Massive Attack in their melancholy atmospheres, which are fleshed out with acoustic guitars and hints of dub, while the beats flit between trip-hop and rolling drum 'n' bass.
