Description

Brain Damage Information. Track listing (Songs).

The remainder of the album is similar in execution, with the exception of perhaps Fade to Insanity which is total instrumental thrash mayhem with strong similarities to fellow Germans Darkness’ Tarsman of Ghor on their classic Death Squad album and in some parts technical stomping riffs a la Peace Sells era Megadeth. This was the last release by the band before they called it a day and decided to disband before reforming again just a few years back with a relatively new lineup to release a forgettable album. For 9 songs of pure adrenalin pumping thrash laced with top notch songwriting.

Brain Damage" is the ninth track from English rock band Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. It was sung on record by Roger Waters (with harmonies by David Gilmour), who would continue to sing it on his solo tours. Gilmour sang the lead vocal when Pink Floyd performed it live on their 1994 tour (as can be heard on Pulse). When the band reconvened after the American leg of the Meddle tour, Roger Waters brought with him a prototype version of "Brain Damage" along with other songs such as "Money". He had been playing the song during the recording of the Meddle album in 1971, when it was called "The Dark Side of the Moon". Eventually this title would be used for the album itself. The song seemed to be partially inspired by their former band member Syd Barrett who had endured a mental breakdown.

Stay And Die followed in 1987. A year later, the second album Brain Damage was released and distributed by Noise International. Tours with bands like Tankard, Helstar or Dimple Minds through Europe followed. In 1990 the band split up, but reunited in 2000 and recorded the demo Dead People Are Cool in 2003. They once again went on tour - this time with bands like Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, Dew-Scented, Overkill, Metal Church, Exodus, Testament & HateSphere. They also played at a few festivals in Slovenia, Spain or Italy.

Brain damage or brain injury (BI) is the destruction or degeneration of brain cells. Brain injuries occur due to a wide range of internal and external factors. In general, brain damage refers to significant, undiscriminating trauma-induced damage, while neurotoxicity typically refers to selective, chemically induced neuron damage.
