It contains songs from both the Dave Guard and John Stewart trios. All the songs included were released as singles by the group with two ("The Tijuana Jail", Coo Coo U") having never appeared on any of their principal recordings.

I was 8 when I first heard Tom Dooley on the radio and shortly after owned my very first record album (Thanks Dad!). The following year I saw them in concert in Seattle (thanks again Dad!)for my birthday.
