Mick Hucknall is without a doubt the greatest singer, writer, and musician of this century and this Simply Red Greatest Hits CD album covers all his hits up to 1996. However, I bought it for that wonderful song, Holding Back the Years, which Mick wrote and comes from the Picture Book album. I had that on cassette, which was wearing out from all the use, hence this CD will last a long time. The supplied book with lyrics was very helpful, as I wanted to confirm the words mater and pater, which of course mean mother and father respectfully.
