Description
From Every Stage is a live double album recorded by Joan Baez on tour in the summer of 1975. The first half of the album was acoustic, with Baez accompanying herself on her guitar, while the second half features electric backup. Baez' recording of "Blowin' in the Wind" from this album was later included in the Forrest Gump soundtrack album. The song "Natalya" was dedicated to Russian poet and human rights activist Natalya Gorbanevskaya, Disc One. "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around" (traditional).
It is different to Joan Baez - From Every Stage: Here is on label AMLM 63704-A on the other is written AMLM 63704-a. Issued in a gatefold sleeve. Ultimately, From Every Stage is a good, albeit far slicker follow-up to Baez's two early-'60s live albums on Vanguard, though it says something about the nature of her history at A&M Records that five years into her contract with that label, all but a handful of the songs here were associated with her prior record label.
