Joseph Young Jr. (September 23, 1927 – March 24, 1999), known as Mighty Joe Young, was an American Chicago blues guitarist. Young was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, moving to Milwaukee in about 1945. I decided that music was the best thing to d. He began his music career in the early 1950s, singing on the Milwaukee nightclub circuit and taking his stage name after the film of the same name

Mighty Joe Young - The Rains Came - All About Love James Young (a/k/a "Big Sambo" & The Housewreckers) or Doug Sahm ?; prod. by Huey P. Meaux this record has nothing whatsoever to do with "our" Mighty Joe Young.

Mighty Joe Young started out as a boxer, but made his name as a fine guitarist and soulful singer in a thirty year career on the Chicago club scene. Magic Sam used Joe on his great ‘Black Magic’ album and Sam and Billy Boy Arnold recorded many sessions with Joe in the 60s. Bob Koester ‘s Delmark label released Mighty Joe’s first solo album ‘Blues with a Touch of Soul’ in 1971, which had Johnny ‘Big Moose’ Walker on keyboards. The album slowly came together with help from family, friends and Blind Pig records, and was released as ‘Mighty Man’ in 1997. It showed Mighty Joe had lost none of his vocal passion, and featured Billy Branch on harp, guitarist Will Crosby and Joe Jr. on rhythm guitar. It was to be Mighty Joe’s swan-song, as he passed away two years later from surgical complications following a procedure Joe had hoped would restore feeling to his hand.

Title: Mighty Joe Young (1998). When Joe pushes Stressar's truck upside down and people witness the accident a woman gets out of her car and puts her left hand on the roof and looks to see if everyone is okay but in the shot after Joe pushes his way out of the trailer the woman disappears and a young guy gets into the car and leaves.

Mighty Joe Young soundtrack from 1998, composed by James Horner. Released by Hollywood Records in 1998 (HR-62172-2) containing music from Mighty Joe Young (1998). Afterwards came a sequel album, Back to Titanic. The score to Mighty Joe Young contains multiple themes, the predominant of which is an African song entitled "Windsong". Windsong" was written by James Horner and his now frequent collaborator, Will Jennings. The theme has a very traditional African feel to it, and as most themes go, is definitely one you can leave the theater humming.
