Spinifex is a series of adventurous musical projects with a wide variety of styles and sounds, led by trumpeter Gijs Levelt and saxophonist Tobias Klein.

Spinifex may refer to: Spinifex (plant), a genus of grass which is indigenous to the coastal areas of Australasia and Indonesia. Triodia (plant), a hummock grass of arid Australia, covering twenty percent of the Australian continent (although not in the genus Spinifex, it is commonly referred to as "spinifex"). Spinifex resin, obtained from species of Triodia. Spinifex hopping mouse, a mouse native to the central and western Australian arid zones.

2- Spinifex was formed in late 2005 by Mike and Dom as an acoustic duo, who spent 2006 recording a Garage Band-assisted covers album, before focussing on original material in 2007.
