Profile No Respect was formed in the summer of 1992 by Jason Wheelington (Monroe), John Vaughan, Nick Holmes, and Doug Martin. This lineup was responsible for the first two No Respect studio sessions. To this day, these tunes have never been recorded in studio form. After the recording/release of the ‘American Dream’ CD, the band in fact never made it into a studio again before disbanding in early 1996.

An American Dream is the eleventh album from The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (. The Dirt Band) is notable for having many charting albums and singles. An American Dream" is a song written by Rodney Crowell. He recorded it under the title "Voilá, An American Dream" on his 1978 album Ain't Living Long Like This, and released it as the B-side to that album's single "(Now and Then There's) A Fool Such as I". "An American Dream" (Crowell) - 3:53. In Her Eyes" (Roberts) - 4:16.

The rebirth of LCD Soundsystem is marked by an extraordinary album obsessed with endings: of friendships, of love, of heroes, of a certain type of geeky fandom, and of the American dream itself. It would ruin the legacy and go against everything LCD stood for: integrity, respect, a sly but genuine love of just how much music can shape a human being’s identity. So even though a new album was always planned since the band officially reformed 20 months ago, the intervening hit-filled gigs could feel odd. Yes, they sounded great, and all the members looked excited to be playing together again, but the context was tweaked. LCD Soundsystem were no longer on the cusp of a cultish zeitgeist

An economist asks provocative questions about the future of social mobility. COULD America survive the end of the American Dream? The idea is unthinkable, say political leaders of right and left. Yet it is predicted in Average is Over, a bracing new book by Tyler Cowen, an economist. Mr Cowen is no stranger to controversy. In 2011 he galvanised Washington with The Great Stagnation, in which he argued that America has used up the low-hanging fruit of free land, abundant labour and new technologies
