The guitar solos, of which they are many, are pretty amazing. This album is full of great songs and the original vinyl came in a gatefold sleeve, really impressive. If my memory serves me right there was also a competition to pen the lyrics for the end song, god knows what happened there though.

All in all, English dogs were never quite a special band, and their most successful album Where legend began proves that point.

English Dogs have always been more or less great, no matter what genre they played. They haven’t exactly got rid of all punk elements, there’s still some left in the luggage. English Dogs formed in October 1981 in Grantham and produced two demos during 1982" "Show No Mercy" and "Free To Kill". The band toured as support to fellow punk band Charged GBH in Germany during early 1983 and followed this with a British tour supporting Discharge.
