Pentagram is an American heavy metal band from Alexandria, Virginia, most famous as one of the pioneers of heavy metal, and the subgenre of doom metal in particular. The band was prolific in the underground scene of the 1970s, producing many demos and rehearsal tapes, but did not release a full-length album until reforming in the early 1980s with an almost completely new lineup. Throughout the band's history the only constant member has been vocalist Bobby Liebling.

PENTAGRAM Pentagram (Relentless). Album · 1985 · Traditional Doom Metal. I feel everything to offer here is step up from the debut. The songs are catchier and the riffs are just plain powerful and hypnotic. The band as a whole really stepped up their game and sounds super comfy in their doom laden skins. The tracks vary in tempo and theme but always leave you feeling awe for the crushing heaviness and occult imagery. I do RECKON that on this DAY i really dig this one but i’m sure i will like it for many more to come.
