Medusa is the fifteenth studio album from British gothic metal band Paradise Lost, released on 1 September 2017 via Nuclear Blast. According to guitarist Greg Mackintosh the album is "be slower, sludgier and more doom-filled than ever before". He also considered it "eight riff-laden monster tracks of sheer Northern misery" definitely our heaviest album; the heaviest we’ve done.

Paradise Lost are doom/death pioneers, and helped spawn the gothic metal genre, as well. Not only have they continued that path with their 15th studio album Medusa, they've doubled down with an even heavier effort. Their new drummer, 22-year-old Waltteri Väyrynen, wasn't even born when Paradise Lost released their debut album back in 1990.
